A (very) late night singalong and a jingle for the guy who ate only potatoes for a year...

At the end of last year (2017 been busy so far!) I had the funnest fun time catch up with my mate Alan French, a classical pianist/composer/producer from the NSW Central Coast. We don't get to hang out often but when we do we make it count. Here's a, let's call it 'tipsy', version of Mary Poppins' 'Spoonful of Sugar' and also a bit of 'Somewhere' from Westside. It was a big night of show tunes with Cindy along, that's her bag, and Alan can play anything he's ever heard, so that worked out nicely.

Also, my husband Andrew Taylor, who is a viral sensation from having eaten only potatoes for the entirety of 2016 (www.spudfit.com), launched his podcast. He realised at the last minute he didn't have a jingle, so I spent a few minutes in the (stinking hot) car outside the St Kilda library where we were working putting together this funny little jingle on Loopy HD and Garageband on my iPad. It was a bit of fun and it kind of catchy, so it might stick for a while...

Finally making progress - albeit extremely slowly - on my album of pop arrangements of French art songs, Aussie contemporary classical songs and a few instrumental bits and pieces. It's taken me a lot of time and effort to start to round out the concept of the sound I want in my head. I think I'm getting more. Still trying to decide if I'll share as I go along or wait until the finish product (which is at least six months away!). Either way I'll keep you posted.

Keep singing!
